This year we have introduced some new awards. Here's a brief overview of the 7 awards categories available for 2024:


1. Best Air Quality Strategy – presented by the Westminster Commission for Road Air Quality

An award that highlights how an organisation has implemented innovative strategies or measures that have had a significant and positive impact on air quality to the public. It should be demonstrated how the organisation went above and beyond what is commonly required with demonstrated implications that benefit public health and/or legislation.

 

2. Best road/ fleet compliance safety initiative 

An award that highlights how an organisation has implemented innovative strategies or measures that have had a significant and positive impact on either the safety of staff or the public. It should demonstrate how the organisation went above and beyond what is commonly required and above usual compliance standards. Data and performance evidence to show success is essential to this submission.

 

3. Most innovative fleet management strategy 

The most innovative fleet management strategy will be awarded to an organisation that has demonstrated outstanding use of technology organisational and fleet management skills. The organisation will be able to demonstrate environmental, economic and social benefits. Data evidence in reducing Co2 and UFP particulate emissions is essential to this submission. Innovation practices must be proven.

 

4. Most sustainable fleet management department 

The most sustainable fleet management department award will be awarded to an organisation significantly reducing its carbon footprint and emissions through innovative technology and organisational skills. It should also demonstrate how the organisation decarbonised all aspects of its workshop and fleet management processes while keeping personnel well-being and safety at the forefront. It also shows commitment to the local community by developing apprentice schemes and investment in older/diverse workforce.

 

5. Young industry champion

This award will be given to an outstanding young professional who has demonstrated a fantastic performance and implemented ground-breaking innovations within an organisation.

 

6. Industry personality of the year 

This person has demonstrated outstanding behaviour or achieved exceptional results that have positively influenced their organisation, resulting in a significantly improved service to the public in the last 12 months.

 

7. Innovators of the year

The Innovators of the Year will be awarded to an organisation that has demonstrated outstanding use of science, technology and organisational skills. The organisation will be able to demonstrate environmental, economic and social benefits coupled with a programme of change that has had a broader impact on an organisation, industry and society as a whole. This award is open to innovators and fleet and the air quality industries.
